Great interview. I was lucky to see Loretta at PPA last year. She knows her stuff. BTW, I own both RF 24-70 and 70-200 f/2.8 L and I prefer the look of the 24-70 for portraits and headshots too.

Godox flashes will not work with canon cameras (RF mount) while using HSS and TTL simultaneously, do you know if this fixes that issue if used with a more modern R3/R8?

Unfortuantely MII version doesn't feature IBIS High Resolution mode, so it is very limited as it doesn't use the multi-exposure IBIS function of the camera any more. Also, the former batter grip isn''t compatible with this camera (same size tough).

For me, the $4,299 question is: will the new pre-continuous 30 fps shooting feature suffer from rolling shutter problems the way the R7 does?

I think Canon does not provide the option to purchase de EF-RF adapter with a drop-in clear filter, instead of the polarizer or ND filter that is included presently.

The capabilities of the camera are not shown, there is no story, and it's poorly shot.

Very informative thanks. How are the external speedlights attached to the off camera stands ? I used to use a coldhshoe adapter when working with older flash units such as 580EX - but these new ones have that new multi function flash shoe.

I updated to v1.5 firmware, but zooming in and out on the companion stream deck is noticeably slow. If I downgrade to v1.4, it works fine, but why can't I downgrade the Canon PTZ?

Congratulations on the Canon Unscripted episodes; they are universally informative. My critique concerns the obstructive views caused by the large microphones, which almost "kiss" the mouths of Vanessa and the interviewer. While these mics are suitable for podcasts, an alternative method for personal video interviews would be to use quality lavalier microphones, which are far more comfortable to watch. Please consider this setup for future episodes.

R5 MARK II doesn't support IBIS HIgh Resolution shooting which is a big downgrade compared to MARK I. No more 400 MP pictures from tripod!!!

How could Canon miss not having any function buttons on the fan battery grip for vertical shooting????

I have this RF 15-30 and at 15mm the corners have triangle Black Tips. Why? There is no hood attached to get in the way. Have used for 2 weeks, purchased new. Used with my R5. I have 3 other L lens and have not experienced this problem, or any. See the problem when viewing raw images (15mm) at computer. Viewing 15mm image after taking from camera display does not show Black corners as i think the image is cropped slightly. Does Canon have a return option for out of box failed lens if it is a defect? I purchased from a Canon retailer, and want to avoid there 10% restock charge. July 28, 2024

Man i just wish we could get a bump in frame rate, 4K 120 but nothing faster than 120 even in 1080p? camera seems more than capable...
